Andrea Cerquiglini was born in 1961 in Rome, and it was here that he drew and studied until he gained a degree in Architecture.
Then in 1989, his long-held artistic aspirations and love of graphic design led him to Milan, where he gained significant work experience at an important advertising agency. Two years later in 1991, on the strength of one of the first-ever graduate theses on lighting engineering, Andrea joined the company where he remained for four years, working on lighting and communications for one of the most important international leaders in the lighting sector.
Light would also take Andrea as far as Seoul, which opened new horizons for him in the diverse and fast-growing Korean market.
But, being eclectic by nature, it was hard for him to keep within a single specialist field. On his return to Milan, Andrea left the company and with fellow architect Laura Rossi, he set up the Cerquiglini & Rossi partnership, which formed the basis for his work until 2020. At the same time, he was also continuing to build connections with the Far East, by embarking on new experiences in Seoul and Beijing.
Andrea's architectural practice has always been accompanied by artistic expression, at carefully-planned intervals based on his professional commitments. However, a few years ago he seemed to have found his own style, by creating "written and drawn" works on the centrefolds of lined A3 notebooks. He has participated in competitions and exhibitions, gaining recognition and significant interest. To learn more, visit www.andreacerquiglini.com.
In 2021, inspired by an idea of his close friend Fabio, now happily married, there came a new project: OTTOADUE. It signalled a new direction for Andrea's artistic work, which no longer had to be sidelined to fit around other events.
Fabio Chisari was born in Milan in 1966 and spends all his free time travelling.
After graduating in Economics and Commerce and gaining a Master's degree in Marketing & Communication, for many years he worked in related fields for large consumer retail and IT companies.
Tired of office life and the suit and tie, in 2004 he decided to make a living out of his passion for travel.
The result was Azonzo Travel, a boutique tour operator offering high quality package holidays for real travellers eager to explore the world.

Since 2003, he has been a member of London's prestigious Royal Geographical Society, one of the world's leading geographical authorities, and is often invited on television to talk about his travels and the beauty of our planet.
As a freelance journalist, Fabio is passionate about a wide range of subjects including design, architecture, fashion, cinema and jazz music, although he has a violin diploma from a music conservatory.
Fabio is also a qualified skydiver and holds a scuba diving licence, as he sometimes gets tired of keeping his feet on the ground.
In 2021, he founded Ottoadue with a long-time friend, Andrea.
